Amar Dukan' iugurated in Sivasagar district

SIVASAGAR, April 13: As per directives of the Government of Assam, Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal on Monday iugurated three ‘Amar Dukan’ in various parts of Sivasagar district in presence of dignitaries and a host of people. The three shops were iugurated at Dehajan of Demow, Station Chariali and Babupatty of Sivasagar town.

Iugurating the shop at Dehajan, Mittal said, “This is part of a total of 29 fare price shops under the project ‘Amar Dukan’ to be opened in Sivasagar district. Ten fair price shops will be opened in Sivasagar subdivision, 13 in Sori subdivison and 6 such shops are scheduled to be opened in zira subdivison.”

This is an attempt of the Assam Government to facilitate the masses to avail essential commodities at fairly affordable rates. Altogether 23 essential commodities will be made available at these fair price shops, the DC further added.
