Ambubachi Mela from June 22

GUWAHATI, June 12: The Ambubachi Mela Parichala Committee (AMPC) today said that the four-day Ambubachi Mela would start from June 22. The door of the temple will be closed from 7.02 am on June 22 to 7.26 pm on June 25. The door will be opened for devotees from 7 am on June 26. Till June 28, around 20-25 lakh devotees would be atop Neelachal hill during the Ambubachi Mela. Fro the first time, the Devalaya authority erected two camps accommodating around 10,000 devotees at harbari and Bongshi Bagan areas with facilities like drinking water, healthcare, food, etc. As many as four routes have been identified for entry and exits to and from the temple.
