American tourist seriously injured in road mishap

Bongaigaon, March 21: An American tourist was seriously injured in a road mishap on NH-31 at Kishanbazar area under Bongaigaon PS in Bongaigaon district on Saturday. The injured tourist has been identified as Gerl Ryan Victor (33), a resident of Oregon of United States of America. Talking to media persons, Victor said that he was on a world tour for five years since August 26, 2014 on his bike (Kawasaki No:QVS-68). He stayed in Goalpara on Friday night and started his journey to West Bengal on Saturday. At Bongaigaon, his bike collided with a truck (AS-19-C-0563). Victor sustained severe injuries in his leg and was admitted in Lower Assam Hospital in Bongaigaon. The hospital authority informed that Victor was out of danger now but he had been referred for better care and treatment.
