TINSUKIA, June 13: To encourage students from tea sector, the Assam Tea Employees Provident Fund Organization (ATEPFO), for the first time announced Amiyo Kumar Das Memorial award to outstanding students belonging to members of ATEPFO who secured 75 per cent or above in the HSLC examination, 2018. Under this scheme, three top scorers from two categories, namely employees along with staff and workers, will receive Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively while all students who secured 75 per cent and above will be awarded with Rs 1,000 each. An appeal from ATEPFO stated that the guardians of the students should forward the application through respective schools and tea gardens concerned before June 30 to the main office of ATEPFO or respective divisional office.
