AMRIT pharmacies to roll out in State

Shillong, July 14: An MoU was signed between the State Government and the HLL Lifecare Limited on 14th July to set up Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment (AMRIT) pharmacy outlets in the State Government-run hospitals. The agreement was signed between NHM Mission Director HM Shangpliang on behalf of the State Government and HLL Lifecare Limited Director (Marketing) T Rajasekar on behalf of HLL Lifecare Limited, a press release said.  Initially, the AMRIT pharmacy outlet will be set up in Shillong Civil Hospital, and thereafter at the Ganesh Das Government and Materl & Child Health Hospital, Shillong. The AMRIT pharmacy outlets will eventually be rolled out to other districts hospitals in the State. AMRIT pharmacies will sell both drugs and implants at significant discount on market rates, based on authentic prescriptions from doctors.
