Anjaw DMO suspended

Itagar, April 21: The state government has placed district medical officer (DMO) of Anjaw district under suspension to facilitate a fair enquiry in order to initiate formal discipliry action against him.

Dr Tayi Taloh, the DMO, was placed under suspension on the basis of written complaint received from the Deputy Commissioner of Anjaw and on the basis of prelimiry report submitted by Dr Hage Tabyo, Additiol Director of Health Services cum Director of Family Welfare, harlagun as Enquiry Officer.

As per the prima facie report submitted by Dr Tabyo, Dr Taloh was found to be misusing government vehicle for his persol use at his home town for long period that was meant for IMR Programme, an official communiqué informed here today.

He was alleged of misconduct and indiscipline by remaining absent from the district headquarter without approval and permission of the controlling authorities. It was also reported that Dr Taloh did not reply to the show cause notice served by the concerned authority to him twice.

He was also alleged of unscrupulously spending the fund provided for medicines and medical equipments allotted by DC Anjaw under BADP and general allotment by Director of Health Servcies, during 2014-15 without procuring the specified medicines and medical equipments.

It was reported that Dr Taloh neither maintained codal formalities nor obtained administrative approval and estimate sanction from the appropriate authority while spending the funds, the communiqué added.
