Annual conference of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj concludes

UDALGURI, Feb 12: The 43rd annual conference and pradeshik mahapalm of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj concluded at Jila Palm Than, Batabari of Udalguri. Thousands of people from across the State witnessed the great congregation of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj.

The open session was presided over by Pratap Chandra Medhi, the president of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj and iugurating the session, Gopal Krish Ojha, the Saracharya of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj, elaborated the great contribution of Srimanta Sankardev to the people of Assam. He also emphasized the importance of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj to this tribal-inhabitated region. The founder of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj, Elaram Das had contributed a lot to protect the tribal community from the direct or indirect evasion of western culture, he said.

BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary also addressed the congregation of Ekasaran Bhagawati Samaj. He assured all help to construct amghar at Batabari. Rihon Daimari, the local legislator and State PHE and Civil Supply Minister, appealed to the people to bring peace and prosperity through the development of spirituality. He also insisted that people should contribute to make the Swachh Bharat Mission a success in the area.

 Tridip Daimari, the BTC Speaker, also addressed the meeting. The message of Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal was read out on the occasion.
