Annual meeting of senior citizen forum at Udalguri

UDALGURI, July 6: The annual general meeting of Jestha Nagarik Manch, Udalguri was held here at the premises of Bishnu Rabha Kristi Santha. The meeting was presided over by Nareswar Deka and the meeting was conducted by the joint secretaries of the committee Hari Prasad Sarma and Pramod Baishya. The meeting condoled the demise of Kulen Saharia, the vice president of Jyeshta Nagarik and Mrigen Kalita, the principal of Udalguri Girls HS School. The meeting has discussed the problems of senior citizens at Udalguri and resolved to find out the solution. The meeting has unanimously decided to rename the organisation as Jyestha Nagarik Sanmillani. The auditor Kunjabihari Tamuli has presented the report of the 2-year term on that session and the representatives have accepted the report. A new executive body for next two-year term with Nareswar Deka as president and Pramod Baishya as general secretary was also selected on that meeting.
