Anomalies alleged in construction of PWD road of the NH-52 (B) area

JOYSAGAR: Severe anomalies and irregularities were alleged in the construction works of the Sonari-Sapekhati-Charaideo PWD road of the NH-52 (B) area. Construction of the busy road had started in March 2017 and since then the construction firm, M/S GK Construction Company Pvt. Ltd has been allegedly indulging in anomalies and also the contractors are not focusing in the time bound completing of the work. The State PWD has sanctioned about Rs. 48.38 crore for the construction work of the NH-52 (B) and in the same work order as many as five RCC pools and three wooden bridges had to be built also. But the construction firm has left work incomplete in many places. Local people have expressed dissatisfaction over all this and sought the intervention of the Charaideo district administration and the Charaideo PWD authorities. Besides, the Sapekhati regional ATASU has also expressed dissatisfaction over the construction company’s apathy and warned of an agitation programme against the company if it did not pay heed to the pleas of the local people.
