Anundoram Borooah Award given away in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, March 8: The Kokrajhar district administration on Wednesday distributed laptops under the Anundoram Borooah Scheme, 2016 among the students who secured first division in the 2016 HSLC and HS fil examition at a ceremonial function held at the Basic Training Centre, Kokrajhar.

A total of 934 students in Kokrajhar district were given laptops, of which 547 students under Kokrajhar Sadar subdivision were given laptops along with certificate each. The laptops to the students of Gossaigaon subdivision and Parbhatjhora subdivision will be given the next day. The EM of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC, Daneswar Goyary, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Vivekanda Choudhury and Kokrajhar Inspector of Schools Jagadish Prasad Brahma attended the function and handed over the laptops to the students.
