Anundoram Borooah Award presented in Sivasagar

JOYSAGAR, Feb 12: The Sivasagar district administration on Sunday formally presented the Anundoram Borooah Award to 2,209 students of Sivasagar district. The meeting was held at Sivasagar Government MP School which was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, rayan Konwar. Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa took part in the meeting as chief guest. Offering award to the students, Tasa said that students were the hope for the future and these human resources were the main capital as without good academicians and learned citizens, no tion could prosper. Thowra constituency MLA Kushal Dowari and MLA from Sori, Tapan Kr. Gogoi were also present as guests of honour. Besides, Inspector of Schools, Sivasagar, Prabin Sarma, DDC and ADC Abhijit Baruah and AK Doley and EAC Pranjal Kr. Das also took part in the programme.
