Anup Lahoty Tennis meet from Jan 28

GUWAHATI, Jan 25: 18th Anup Lahoty India club Open tennis championship will be held in the city from January 28. Around 250 players from Assam and its adjoining states are expecting to take part in the championship. Addressing a media gathering at the India club premises Tourment Director Gaurrav Choudhury said that apart from different age categories there will be event for mens singles and doubles along with doubles for the veterans. The championship carries valuable AITA ranking points as well as cash scholarship of Rs 75,000. Chowdhury added that from this year two new prizes-most promising players in boys and girls, will be introduced. The media briefing was also attended by India club president Abani Barua, secretary Anupam Choudhury and Chief Referee of the meet Priyanuj Lahakar.
