Anup shines in Bud victory

GUWAHATI, Feb 14:  Bud Cricket club thrashed New Star club by 73 runs in the GSA ‘A’ Division Cricket League match at IIT ground today. The highlight of the game was a nice century from Anup Ghosh (105).  Elected to bat, Bud put 233-8 in their 35th overs. Anup took just 79 balls to score 105 runs with the help of 10 boundaries and two sixes. Manikar Sarma (52) also contributed well with his bat . In reply, New Star club bowled out 160 in 31.4 overs. Shivam Rajput (74no) fought lone battle for the team.  Brief score: Bud Cricket club 233-8 (35 overs), Anup Ghosh 105, Manikar Sarma (52), Bharat Bhusan Sarma 3-30, New Star club 160 (31.4 overs), Shivam Rajput 74, Nitul Ali 3-13.
