Anureet, Sandeep always give their 100 percent: Johnson

Mumbai, April 13: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has lauded the efforts of his Kings XI Punjab teammates Anureet Singh and Sandeep Sharma, saying they always give their 100 percent while bowling in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“I am really impressed with Sandeep and Anureet. They train really hard and always give it a 100 percent. You can never doubt those guys when it comes to giving it their all. They are just getting more and more experienced and the more games they play the better for them,” Johnson was quoted as saying by iplt20.com on Sunday. “Keeping things really simple has worked for them. I love seeing young guys like that who train really hard and it gives me a buzz.”

The left-arm speedster believes the two Indian talents have gained pace this time around and that he was excited to see their progress. Incidentally, Sandeep was also the highest wicket-taker for Punjab in IPL 2014.

“It looks like they both have definitely gained a bit of pace than last year. They swung the ball last year as well and there is no difference there but they have definitely added some more pace to their bowling. The wickets are definitely helping them,” the seamer said. IANS
