APCC ridicules Modi’s pledge of Acche Din

Itagar, Jan 24: The Aruchal Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday organised Jan Ved Sammelan to protest against demonetization and anti-people policies of the BJP-led NDA government. The sammelan was organised coinciding with the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who spearheaded the India’s freedom movement, at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, here as a follow-up to the tiol Jan-Ved Sammelan, which was participated by all the rank & file of the Congress in the state.

APCC President Padi Richo speaking on the occasion informed that Congress has been demanding a ‘white paper’ from the Modi-led BJP Government to expose the truth behind demonetization.  Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ranee rah, who is also the AICC state coordition, informed that Jan-Ved Panchayat would be organised at district & block level in every assembly segments of the state from January 28, which would begin at Pasighat, the headquarters of East Siang district. She exhorted the party cadres to pass the message of Congress President and Vice-President of the party’s movement against demonetization programme at the every part of the country. She also directed the party workers to form district and block level implementation committee against demonetisation in all the 60 assembly constituencies.

Senior party leader and former Chief Minister bam Tuki while speaking on the occasion, pointed out the impact of demonetization as a result of which, the most sufferers are weaker section of the society. Stating that a state like Aruchal where there was less banking and postal services to cope with the present situation, Tuki asked the Prime Minister to intensify the development of creating banking and postal services including ATMs in remotest area before implementing such draconian policy. He demanded immediate relief to the 150 families, who lost their bread earner due to demonetization. AICC secretary and in charge of Aruchal, Dr K Jayakumar in his deliberation vehemently criticized Modi as captain of biggest scam in the country after independence.
