APFA bid to  promote football

Itanagar, Apr 22: The Arunachal Pradesh Football Association held its annual general body meeting (AGM) in a hotel at Naharlagun on Saturday, which was chaired by Takam Sanjoy, former MP and president APFA and attended by Kipa Ajay, secretary along with the executive members of APFA and District Football Associations. Various discussions pertaining to development of football in the state were held during the meeting. The members present unanimously felt that more financial assistance from the state govt needs to be provided to APFA for implementation of its developmental policies. The house also raised the issue on the urgent need of proper football stadiums in every district headquarters in order to produce more football talents in the state. Major amendments in the constitution of APFA were also passed during the meeting. Spokesperson cum coordinator APFA, Orin Lego gave presentation on the annual activities report of previous season and unveiled APFA’s annual calendar of events for current year.
