Appoint regular director: ACS

Itagar, Feb 10: The Aruchal Civil Society (ACS) in a representation submitted to chief secretary S D Gamlin has appealed the latter to appoint a regular director of higher and technical education (H&TE) at the earliest in order to streamline the department.

Claiming that the education department has not been following the existing RR Policy for the last 4 years and the present director of H&TE was appointed on officiating basis despite of having qualified and senior principals within the government colleges of Aruchal Pradesh, the ACS further appealed the authority concerned to provide ample opportunity to all the other senior and experienced professiols who have been serving in the higher echelon to opt for the coveted post.

Further stating that the present director has already submitted an application before the authority concerned for further extension of another two years in same post, the society while vehemently objecting the extension stated that it would adversely affect the career prospects and promotiol avenue of other senior qualified officers who are well equipped to handle the work successfully.
