Appointment of doctors demanded

DEMOW, June 19: Under the leadership of Jadumoni Kalita, president and Jaan Barua, acting secretary of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee, a memorandum was submitted to the Joint Director of Sivasagar through Demow Circle Officer on Monday. In the memorandum, BAYM Demow Town Committee stated that the Demow Model Hospital in Demow was the only hospital in Thowra constituency for treatment. The BAYM Demow Town Committee also said that sufficient facilities which should be provided by the Health Department to Demow Model Hospital and adequate number of doctors and medical staff should be appointed. In the memorandum, BAYM Demow Town Committee demanded appointment of doctors in Demow Model Hospital in each department, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital and appointment of security personnel to ensure safety of patients and their attendants.
