APST Khonsa, Tawang cross revenue target

Itagar, April 2: Despite untimely release of funds, the Aruchal Pradesh State Transport (APST) is doing wonders in generating revenue.

Beating all odds, the Khonsa station of Tirap District has reportedly achieved the 111 percent of revenue collection for the year 2014-15.

The Tawang Station has also reason to smile as it has successfully collected amount of Rs 34, 4818 (Thirty four lakhs, fourty four thousand eight hundred eighteen rupees) exceeding the target  with 103 percent for the year 2014-15 informed Assistant Station Superintendent T Taggu.

The whopping collection of revenue is due to induction of two more new buses provided by Tourism Minister Pema Khandu from his MLA LAD fund, informed Taggu.

“Without GM Abu Tayeng’s guidance and support, the rare achievement could not have been possible,” he added.

When contacted, Tayeng expressed his happiness over the achievement.

Appreciating Tourism Minister Pema Khandu for providing two new buses in Tawang leading to generation of more revenue, Tayeng opined that all MLAs should extend their helping hand to APST to reduce bottle-neck communication.

The APST GM also credited the achievement to Station Superintendent of Khonsa Terrien Ruttum and Assistant Station Superintendent T.Taggu and their entire for tirelessly working despite being faced lot of hurdles.

Tayeng added that said officers have been consistently exceeding the revenue target over the couple of years despite being untimely release of funds, thus their success story inspire other stations to follow the path.
