Arabic College scam: Effigies of CM, Rakibul Hussain burnt

Rangia, January 31: Activists of the All Assam Goriya Yuba Chatra Parishad burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Agricultural Minister Rakibul Hussain and Parliamentary Secretary Ghashyam Kalita on Sunday on NH-31. They also blocked the tiol highway due to which vehicular traffic was disrupted.
 According to the vice-president of the organization, Ajijur Rahman, the organization  had exposed the alleged corruption in the Arabic College but neither the Education Minister nor the Director of the Madrassa Board took action against the Principal .The protesters also demanded suspension of the Principal and arranged interview for the Madrassa TET qualified candidates within 72 hours or the organization would start fast unto death in front of the Rangia Krishak Bhavan.
