Army conducts medical camps in Chirang district

BONGAIGAON, March 18: The medical teams of Army unit of Red Horns Division is rendering medical assistance to the people in various remote areas of Chirang district and is conducting medical camps at Garubhasa, Deosari, Odalguri, Khungrugaon and Panbari of Chirang district in BTAD area. These camps will conclude on March 21. An Army official said that in its endeavor to reach out to locals, the Army doctors provided medical support in coordition with the State Health Department.  “These camps have been very helpful to the people of the trouble-torn areas in Chirang district. A team of three Army doctors and three nursing staff extended their service to the people. More than 3,000 people from all communities benefited from the medical camp.  The locals of nearby villages came for consultation, which included women, children and aged people and necessary medical advice and medicines were provided.”
