Army Nabs Overground Cadre of United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) at Dibrugarh, Assam

Dibrugarh, July 20: As part of the ongoing crackdown on militant outfits, the Army under Dao Division successfully nabbed one alleged over ground worker of ULFA (I) recently. Based on inputs regarding movement of over ground worker of ULFA (I) in general area Dibrugarh/Tinsukia, a joint operation was launched by 9th battalion of the Rajputana Rifles and Moran Police. The accused has been identified as Deben Hazarika, aged 58 years, who was found with 9mm pistol and one magazine with five live rounds. He was nabbed while moving on Sepon-Demow road on his Bajaj Discover motorcycle. Hazarika has been accused of being involved in several extortion and anti-social activities on behalf of the outfit.
