Army provides drinking water facility

KOKRAJHAR, March 9: The local unit of the Red Horns division of Indian Army based in Kokrajhar set up a drinking water facility for Khashiabari market in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district on Monday.

The drinking water facility in the market along with proper storage system was undertaken as part of the Army’s Sadbhava Project. After iuguration, the assets were handed over to the village headman of Khashiabari FV, Western Range, Raima for further maintence. The drinking water facility will provide potable drinking water to a large number of villagers.

Speaking on the occasion, the government village headman of Khashiabari FV expressed his gratitude to the army for provision of drinking water facility in the market and said that this had fulfilled a long-standing requirement of the market which the magement committee had been uble to provide due to meager fince resources.
