Kathmandu, April 28: Around 200 people have been rescued from the Mount Everest, Nepal’s tourism ministry said on Tuesday and added that 19 people are dead. After the weather conditions improved, four helicopters were deployed on Monday to evacuate the mountaineers stranded due to avalanche. “Almost all climbers and high-altitude guides have descended from Camp 1 and 2 and everything is fine,” Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Tulsi Prasad Gautam told Xinhua news agency. According to department reports, at least 19 climbers, including five foreign tiols, have been confirmed dead in two avalanches triggered by a massive earthquake on Saturday which has killed over 4,000 people.
