Arrear in phases for KHADC employees: CEM

SHILLONG, April 29: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Pynshngianlang N Syiem informed that arrears for its employees will be disbursed in phases as per the funds available after the implementation of new pay scale for the Council employees.

He informed that with the implementation of the new pay scale, the new expenditure of the District Council would come to Rs 60 to 70 lakh per month.

Syiem said that the total salary of the employees after the pay revision for one month is Rs 2.5 crore while before the revision the figure stood at Rs 1.80 crore per month.

Concerning the arrear, he said that the Council will disperse the arrear as per the availability of funds.

Syiem said that even the State Government is releasing the arrear of its employees in phases keeping in view the availability of funds.
