Doomdooma, April 30: In order to encourage the budding scientists, craftsman and the artisans, the Annual Science, Art and Craft Exhibition, 2018 was organised at the Shiksha the Gurukul, Barhapjan, about 12km away from here recently where students from classes V to X participated. Senior journalist Bikash Moran along with the Director of the institution Pintu Agarwala inaugurated the exhibition. The students presented some of the science models like autophagy, chemical garden, robotics, flood warning etc. Moreover in the art and craft section, various creative art and craft works of the students were displayed. The notable feature is that on some special occasions, the art and craft item of the students are put on sale. Art teachers Lok Bahadur Gurung and Amitava Pyne divulged that the school had arrangement with British Consulate office, Kolkata which placed order for some special items as a part of their educational scheme to encourage the budding artisans and craftsman from among the students.
