Art and news-writing competition held

Bongaigaon, Feb 26:In relation to celebration of the silver jubilee year of Greater Bongaigaon Press Club, an art and news-writing competition was held on Sunday in the JnyanodayaJatiyaVidyalaya premises of Bongaigaon.

The competition was iugurated by DipuChoudhury, chairman of Bongaigaon Municipality. The art competition was held in two categories, A and B, among school students. The news writing competition was held among college students. More than 100 students from different schools of Bongaigaon and its neighbouring areas participated in both the competitions.

KallolDevSarma, secretary of the competition department, said that resultsof the both competitions will be announced in the open meeting to be held on March 5, the fil day of the silver jubilee celebration. The silver jubilee of the press club will be celebrated on March 4 and March 5 with several programmes.
