Artificial limbs and calipers distributed in Margherita

MARGHERITA, May 14: Artificial limbs and calipers were distributed among differently-able persons at a programme organized on Saturday by the North Eastern Coal Fields, Coal India Limited, Margherita under its Corporate Social Responsibility scheme. The programme began with the cutting of ribbon by J K Borah, General Mager of NECF Coal India Limited, Margherita. Borah said that NECF Coal India Limited, Margherita had taken up various projects under its Corporate Social Responsibility scheme and many projects were in the pipeline. He said that he had discussed with the Tinsukia District Deputy Commissioner about taking up a project for differently-abled people in Tinsukia district and the Deputy Commissioner gave him a list of 700 differently-abled persons. He thanked Snehalaya, Sanjeevani North East Socio Economic Welfare Society and Yog Vidya Pitham for helping in today’s programme. Margherita Subdivision Police Officer Imuddin Ahmed and Margherita Election Officer Jagadish Brahma were present at the programme. Today a total of 11 differently-abled persons were given artificial limbs and calipers.
