FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Dec 30: While marking the 131st foundation day of the party, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister bam Tuki here on Monday last.

One of the world’s largest and oldest political parties of its kind, the Indian tiol Congress was founded on December 28, 1885. The Congress led India to Independence in 1947 after a long but remarkably peaceful struggle.

The CLP members led by the chief minister paid rich tribute to the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the country and the party. The CLP resolved to uphold the party ideologies and strengthen it from all levels.

CLP decided to hold series of rallies and meetings in grass root level right from the block to district and then in the State level to strengthen the INC party. The rallies would be organised by the district and block units of the INC and would be attended by all the congress legislators. The rallies and meetings in the block and district level would also witness sensitisation on Aruchal Pradesh State flagship programs which provide optimum benefits to the common masses.

Tuki categorically instructed his congress legislator colleagues to ensure that State flagship programmes like CM’s Universal Health Insurance Scheme, Chief Minister’s Skill Development and Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister’s Agri-Mechanisation Programme, VIDYA, Chief Minister’s Girl Child Hygiene Scheme etc. should compulsorily reach and benefit the genuine beneficiaries.

The CLP resolved to work rigorously for the betterment of the State and its people and give them the developmental fruits that have been promised.
