Aruchal to commemorate departed leaders

Itagar, March 8: The state government has resolved to commemorate the contributions of few more eminent persolities posthumously who served the people in various capacities as speaker and ministers in their public life.

Chief Minister bam Tuki said in a statement that this would be in recognition of the services rendered by the departed leaders who represented their respective communities and region in the Government and contributed in the development of the state and welfare of the people.

It may be recalled that the state government had on February 24 announced to immortalize the contributions of late leaders by ming them on important infrastructures, institutions and landmarks.

In addition, as per the decision the upcoming Subansiri Multi-Purpose Outdoor Stadium at Ziro would be med after former Speaker Padi Yubbe, while the District Hospital Koloriang would be med after CheraTalo, former minister.

Former Minister Kabang Borang would have his me immortalized with the Outdoor Stadium at Pasighat while another former minister C P mchoom, would have his me enshrined forever with the Polytechnic Institute at msai.

The outdoor stadium at msai would be med after former minister Indrajit mchoom and Abotoni Community Hall at Hapoli (Ziro) would be med after former MoS Gyati Taka.

"These important public assets med after our past leaders will be sources of inspiration for all coming generations and remind us of their invaluable contributions to the state and the tion," Tuki added.
