Aruchal to get automatic vehicle tracking system

Itagar, Dec 15: As part of the information technology initiative, the Capital Complex district administration is in the process of installing Automatic Vehicle Tracking System through GPS, GPRS and Android Based geo-fencing attendance solution for the field staffs falling under the ambit of its office.

Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan said that installation of the system would help real time tracking of garbage vehicles and lifting of garbage bins for better magement of solid waste.

He further said that the benefits of Automatic Vehicle Tracking System through GPS and GPRS is to improve per vehicle productivity and reduce non-compliance, optimization of vehicle usage and proper route planning, monitoring of vehicle breakdown, centralized command control centre to monitor waste collection, transportation and efficient monitoring and magement of waste bins etc. It would also help in monitoring the transfer stations and processing centers for daily garbage, which in turn would help elimite human factor from the entire cycle of solid waste magement process, he said.

The DC also that with Android Based geo-fencing attendance solution, it would become easier to monitor the presence of field employees in their respective areas. Through it, an employee can also log his attendance using geofencing tool in a GPS ebled device (mobile), when they are present in a desigted perimeter.
