Aruchal to go paperless by August

ITAGAR, June 24: The Aruchal Pradesh government is all set to go paperless by August 15 this year. The e-Office suite would be made functiol in the State Civil Secretariat after which there would be no manual movement of file, an official release informed here today.

A project steering committee and a project implementation committee would be set up to ensure that the project is implemented on time. A comprehensive training module would be put in place to train all users of this application. Digitization of legacy data would be undertaken to ensure continuity.

The main highlights of this application is that all government files would be processed and decisions taken electronically by using digital sigtures by all decision makers. File tracking system would ensure speedy decision making and transparency in decisions will be ensured. The decision was taken during a high level official meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin here yesterday. Earlier, the team from tiol Informatics Centre, Delhi made a detailed presentation of the “e-Office Suite”- a successful government office solution developed by NIC, Government of India.  The application in addition to the file magement system also has provision for Knowledge Magement System, e-Leave, e-Tour, e-Service book, Information Magement System and Collaboration and Messaging Services, the release added.
