Aruchal youths urged to think beyond the horizon of government jobs

Itagar, Feb 26: Aruchal Pradesh Power, Textile & Handicraft and Industries Miunister Tamiyo Taga has appealed to the youths to think beyond the horizon of government jobs which are very limited and start exploring opportunities in other fields.

He was addressing the valedictory function of Aruchal Pradesh Seva Sangh (APSS) conducted Skill Development Programme on Tailoring and Embroidery and Computer Hardware at Doimukh on Friday, which was sponsored by SJVN Hydro Electric Project, an official release informed here today.

The Minister said that the government is providing logistic support in the form of subsidies and other required assistance to unemployed youths through various schemes to encourage them to set up their own industries and other economic activities to become self reliant. While encouraging the youths to opt for cottage industries, Taga further said that textile and handicrafts are only viable cottage industries with very limited market within the state, but it can also be developed further with application of creativity and variety in production so that it can fulfill need of the local market and outside as well.

Papum Pare DC, Tai Kaye also stressed that mass awareness and wide publicity must be done regarding such skill development programme so that many unemployed youths can avail the opportunity, the release added.
