FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT
ITAGAR, May 2: Thutan Gombu has come a long way from being a PA in ADC office at Jang to feature in a mainstream Bollywood movie – Baaghi. The 25-year-old might be the first ever actor from the state to act in a Bollywood film. Baaghi was released last Friday.
Gombu who hails from Jang mazing village from Tawang had to toil it the hard way to reach where he is today. After completion of high school from Tawang, he moved to Kolkata for Hospitality Magement course as well as in-flight service course. At New Delhi, he worked as a Mager in a restaurant. After a couple of months, he got recruited to work in a Subway restaurant at Dubai in UAE. Working in Dubai, Gombu started to look out for his childhood goal and passion of being a model. As fate had planned, he got the first break as a model to promote the Nissan brand. After the success, Gombu looked out for more works and got offers in short movies, music albums and shoot for print advertisements. In December last year, Gombu moved back to India and tried his luck in Bollywood. Without any idea about Bollywood and with no friends, it was a big challenge for him. Again his luck and hardwork secured him couple of TV commercials, web advertisements and the movie.
