ITANAGAR: Aggrieved by the death of Tage Dule on the intervening night of August 2 and 3 while travelling from Delhi to Itanagar in the Arunachal Express train, Chief Minister Pema Khandu today shot a letter each to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal seeking their personal intervention in delivering justice to the victim by arresting and giving exemplary punishment to the culprits.

Khandu while giving details of the gruesome incident said that the youth, who hails from Ziro valley in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh was thrown out of the train by miscreants in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and later succumbed to his injuries at the Shyama Prasad Civil Hospital, Lucknow on August 6.

“I am given to understand that in his dying statement given to the UP Police from the hospital bed, he disclosed the atrocities inflicted on him by unknown miscreants in the train and was finally pushed out of the train. I am also given to understand that there were burn injuries on his body, which indicates foul play by the miscreants before pushing him out of the train,” Khandu wrote.

Terming the incident as barbaric and heartbreaking, Khandu on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh sought immediate probe into the whole incident and stringent action as per law.
