Arunachal Pradesh Governor B.D. Mishra Urges People to Make it an 'Aadarsh Pradesh'

Joining the special occasion of the 72nd Independence day celebrations at Raj Bhawan in Arunachal Pradesh titled as 'At Home', the state Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (retd.) indulged in a close interaction with the people present in the event and conveyed that it is the people of the state who can work for and contribute towards making Arunachal an 'Aadarsh Pradesh'.

Mishra, while talking to the people, got nostalgic to recall his childhood memories and cherished his good old days by saying that the first Independence Day celebration for him was when he was in class V in his village school. Recalling his good days of childhood, the governor requested people to preserve and cherish the beautiful days and dreams to build their nation as an even stronger, peaceful, prosperous and developed place to live in.

The need to work for a balanced development of all the sections of the society, irrespective of the privileged and underpriledged, differently abled and the forlorn, have been stressed upon by the governor. The social and economic development of women and children are a must and the governor conveyed the same to the people present in the independence day celebration.

The supreme sacrifice of Ashoka awardee Hav. Hangpan Dada was also recalled On this occasion. Other distinguished guests like Col. Ashok Arya and Lt. Col Chirom Ibungu too shared their experiences of fighting for the territorial integrity of their nation. there were the Galantry awardees too who took part in this joyful event at the Raj Bhawan.

Furthermore, the patriotic tunes played by the band from 11th Battalion of The Dogra Regiment added an aura of patriotism into the mind and hearts of the dignitaries and distinguished guests.
