Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women organized a one-Training on Home Stay at Itanagar

ITANAGAR, July 24: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) organized a one-day training programme on Home Stay, at Hotel Pybss, ltanagar sponsored by the National Commission for Women, (NCW) New Delhi in collaboration with Airbnb.

The training was to impart the 10 selected women entrepreneur who are willing to run Home Stay and currently running Stay Home in the State, so that they can generate self employment opportunities in tourism sector.

Vice-chairperson, APSCW Padmeswari Jamoh, appreciating the initiatives taken by the NCW for the empowerment of women in the state, requested the women entrepreneur to avail the knowledge imparted during the programme. The Deputy Secretary, NCW Jyoti Singhal interacting during the programme stated that economic dependence is the main motive of today's programme sponsored by the NCW. The NCW dignitaries had requested the Tourism department of the state to assist women entrepreneurs, stating that if women are not empowered, the nation’s development will be stalled.
