ASJA to institute lecture on Pulin Das

GUWAHATI, April 27: Assam Sports Jourlists’ Association took a noble step to keep the memory of sports organizer and sports jourlist Pulin Das alive by instituting a lecture on him, besides introducing a fellowship from this year. Both the decisions were taken at the executive committee meeting of the association at the association office today. Bidyut Kalita, secretary of the Assam Sports Jourlists’ Association, said that this year the Pulin Das Memorial Lecture would be held on June 16 and the association is planning to invite a renowned former cricketer in it. “On the other hand the fellowship is open for all and papers can be submitted in four languages --Assamese, Bengali, Hindi and English,”  Kalita said, and added: “This year the topic of the fellowship is ‘Cricket in Assam: Future and Challenges’."
