Asomiya Yuba Mancha Protests Hike in Entry Fees to Historical Sites

Joysagar: The Asomiya Yuba Mancha, Joysagar Regional Committee members staged a blockade on Sunday in front of the historic Rang Ghar and also in Talatal Ghar. The organization alleged that the Sivasagar Archeological Survey authorities had hiked the entry fees in various monument sites of Joysagar and Sivasagar. The organization also alleged that the Sivasagar Archeological Survey authorities had not arranged for providing proper facilities in these historical sites, like pure drinking water supply and toilets, but without any prior notice, had hiked the entry fees into these historical sites. Sivasagar Police detained the agitators but released them later in the evening.
