Assam Girl dies in Israel, Former IGP North East Cell comes out in Support

Guwahati: An Assamese female reported to have died in Israel and her body lying in hospital at Tel Aviv on Thursday.

The girl has been identified as Neha Sharma from Merabil under Udalguri District.

The matter came to light after former Delhi IGP for North East Cell; Robin Hibu shared the matter on his Facebook Profile.

The cause of the death had not been ascertained yet.

As per the report, the body of the girl had not been received by any of her parent/ relatives so far.

Robin Hibu also mentioned that he came to know about the matter after a Manipuri origin lady namely Jessica Thanjam working at Isreal informed the matter to him.

Hibu also assured the family members through his profile for further help from the Embassy at New Delhi, “I will help from Delhi, I have already alerted my fellow IFS batch mate to bring back her body for burying at hometown in Merabil, Assam,” Hibu said in his Facebook Post.

It may also be mentioned that the lady (Neha Sharma) aged 33 years old in an affidavit had also mentioned that she is the daughter of Pushkar Raj Sharma and they are based in C-442 Bita-1st Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar. Further, she mentioned in the affidavit that she was looking for an overseas job as ‘Caregiver’ at Israel with passport bearing number- L6375410.
