Assam Government to revive Bordoloi Trophy

GUWAHATI, March 10: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi announced few welfare schemes for development of sports in the budget which was placed at the state assembly today. Priority has been given to revitalise the prestigious Bordoloi trophy. On the other hand promoting sports at the grass-root level, fund has been allocated for Chief Minister's Football Cup 2015. Gogoi also announced that the construction of one Indoor Stadium and one Outdoor play field will be taken up in the State within each Block Headquarter in a phased manner under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan.
