Assam has potential to lead the country: Sarbanda Sonowal

DIPHU, February 9: A lot is there to do for development and powerful leadership, hard work of the youth can take our country in the frontline and Assam has the potential to lead the country, said Sarbanda Sonowal, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and State BJP president, while attending a programme at Diphu in Karbi Anglong on Tuesday.

“Students have to imbibe work culture for their survival with dignity. Hence our government has started a number of schemes like Make in India, Start up India and Digital India. We have to gather more skill and if we are more skilled in our work we can lead our country and the world also,” Sonowal further said. “In our villages there is hidden potential which has to be exploited,” he added.

Regarding the 12th South Asian Games, Sonowal said that it would encourage the youth towards games. “Assam is a land of  tural resources and it has the potential, prosperity and possibility and to become one of the best States in the country,” Sonowal said.

Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Jorhat MP, also laid emphasis on skill development. The Union Minister attended the Interaction with Tribal Youth  for Youth Empowerment organized by Nehru Yuwa Kendra Sangathan, Karbi Anglong , Diphu at the Joysing Doley Memorial Hall.
