Assam hub of wildlife photography: Jeffrey Schwilk

Dibrugarh, April 28: An interactive session on wildlife photography was held at the Centre for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication (CSJMC) of Dibrugarh University recently.
The programme, which was led by Ananta Saikia, attracted many enthusiasts and students of wildlife photography. Renowned wildlife photographer Jeffrey Schwilk graced the occasion as chief guest. The ace photographer from Mississippi - a deep southern state of the USA -, who is also a biodiversity activist, delivered a speech on the fundamentals, method skills and equipment associated with wildlife photography. In his lively interaction with the gathering, Schwilk also referred to the State of Assam as a hub of wildlife photography in the world.
Also present as a resource person was noted mentor as well as psychologist, Dr. Nilanjan Konwar who engaged in a relevant conversation with the gathering on applied psychology in relation to Mass Communication. Former presenter at All India Radio (AIR), Dibrugarh, Bhupen Gogoi also graced the event as a distinguished guest. The faculty members of CSJMC also attended the session.
