Assam Police Commando brutally murdered by miscreants near Railgate in Makum Battalion Camp

Makum: A brave heart commando of Assam Police Girish Dutta was brutally murdered by unidentified miscreants on Sunday mid-night near railway gate in Makum Batallion camp.

As per sources, Girish Dutta was a trainer at the Assam Police and conducted many sessions of Commando training in all the districts of Assam.

Local people in the area of Makum battalion had blocked the National Highways 37 early morning out of anger demanding immediate arrests of the culprits.

Tinsukia Superintendent of Police, Siladitya Chetia had also reached the spot and carrying out further investigation in connection to the matter.

It is to be noted that Girish Dutta is a resident of Ashok Nagar in Makum Batallion was returning back from Kendriya Adhibeshan of Asom Moran Sabha and Moran Jatiya Mahila Parishad at Tingrai in Digboi when he reportedly had a clash with some unidentified miscreants which got intensified later.

The matter is under investigation; official quote from the police department is awaited.
