GUWAHATI: Bud Cricket Club beat New Star Club by 5 wickets in Assam Premier Club Championship here at Judges’ Field today. Electing to bat first New Star were all out for 104 in 26.2 overs. Rahul Bansiwal (27) and Ajay Kumar Akhela (25) gave some fight in the later part of the innings after they lost 6 wickets at 47. Bhaskar Jyoti Barman grabbed 4 wickets for 21 while Anup Ghosh took 3 wickets.Bud reached the small target in 15.4 overs losing 5 wickets. Opener Parag Das scored 32.

From Lakhimpur: Manjit Sarma scored the first century in Lakhimpur today. The D&B Club opener struck 103 in 75 balls with 12 fours and 5 sixes and helped his team to score 304/7 in 40 overs against Thana Road Genious. He put on 109-run opening partnership with Nilam Gogoi (25). Rachit Jain (50 off 37) and Kaushik Hazarika (40 off 38) kept the momentum going. Pradip Bora claimed 3 wickets for 45. D&B Club registered 182-run win as Thana Road Genious were bundled out for 122 in 25.4 overs. Abdul Hannan took 4 wickets for 26.

From Tezpur: BDMTCCC thrashed Super Touch Club by 5 wickets. Brief Score: Super Touch Club 167/10 in 38.1 overs (Sanu Ali 44, Rakibuddin Ahmed 38, Karuna Murari 4/39, Zuned Ansari 3/25) lost to BDMTCCC 168/5 in 31.2 overs (Diptesh Saha 44, Wasim Ahmed 44no, Md Rafiq 3/26).
