GUWAHATI, July 25: The desperate attempt to manipulate a court order by advocate Sailendra Kumar Sharma Baruah and businessman Surajit Choudhury has made the cash-for-job scam in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) all the more shrouded with mystery. The duo has already been caught in the police dragnet.

‘The High Court is seized of the matter’. As such, the High Court is going to delve deep into it.

Meanwhile, Dibrugarh police on Wednesday raided the city residence of Surajit Choudhury by taking him along. The police are trying to collect evidences of his involvement in the scam.

Pallavi Sarma Choudhury, an ACS officer arrested in connection with the APSC scam, has filed petition in the Court of Special Judge here with the plea that she has something to tell the Court. She is the wife of arrested business Surajit Choudhury. The court has permitted the investigating officer in the scam to hear what the arrested ACS officer wants to say.

On the other hand, the court rejected the bail plea of Pallavi Sharma, daughter of MP RP Sarma, on Wednesday.
