Assam Publication Board reconstituted

GUWAHATI, Sept 12: The Assam Government has reconstituted the Assam Publication Board with people who are associated with literature. The State Education Department had its proposal to reconstitute the board approved by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal.

While litterateur and jourlist Sumanta Chaliha has been  made the new vice chairman of the board, writer Promod Kalita has been appointed as the secretary. Eleven members of the board are writers Rupam Baruah, Govin Taid, Dimbeswar Tasha, Anuradha Sarma Pujari, Dayanda Buragohain, Imran Hussain, Arindam Barkataky, Prasanta Chakravarty, Arup Dutta, Diganta Ojha and Dr Upen Rabha Hakasam. Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarms has asked the department to issue a notification in this connection.
