Assam Rifles dotes computers

CHANGLANG, Dec 31: As a valuable contribution towards welfare of the society as a part of its Military Civic Action programme through creation of infrastructure at schools, the 14 Assam Rifles under the aegis of DGAR MCA Project doted two computer sets and printers cum scanners to the students of Junior High School, Saching in a function held at Saching village in Changlang district in Aruchal Pradesh on 28 Dec.

The village headman, headmaster and the teachers of the school lauded the efforts of the Assam Rifles in providing these items.

14 Assam Rifles also organized a Christmas Function on 25 Dec inviting the local pastor and the cultural youth society students. Gifts were distributed by the Commandant to the young students for their performances and thanked the gathering for their response on this festive occasion. At the end of the function, a Christmas cake was distributed along with refreshments.

This yeoman service of the 14 Assam Rifles at the grass root level has helped them forge strong bonds with the local population. This was stated in a press release.
