Assam Rifles participates at Indo Myanmar Post level meet

Our Correspondent Silchar: Indo Myanmar Post Level Meeting (IMPLM) was held between Assam Rifles and Myanmar Army under 23 Sector of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) at various locations along Indo Myanmar Border. Thirteen officers from both the nations attended the meeting. The meetings were held at Border Pillar – 9, Border Pillar – 21, and Border Pillar – 27 recently.

Agendas pertaining to security of the Indo Myanmar Border, actions to check the illegal activities, enhancing the sharing of information and communication on either side of the border were discussed during the meeting. Indo Myanmar Border is an open border owing to the Free Movement Regime (FMR). FMR provisions facilitate the movement of individuals from either side up to a depth of 16 km from International Border (IB).
