Assam-Tripura Ranji Trophy tie from today

GUWAHATI: Assam will take on Tripura in their second match of the Ranji Trophy in the season from tomorrow. The four-day away match will be held at Agartala.

Both the teams started the season with different notes. Tripura collected 3 points from their first game against Services while Assam managed to earn single point conceding first innings lead to Jharkhand.

Assam made one change in their team which played the first game and brought in experienced opener Parvez Aziz in place of injured Pallav Das. Parvez is likely to open the innings in the match. Although bowlers of the team made a good job in the first game batting is still a bit of concern as an opening pair and middle order, except Gokul and Sibsankar, failed to deliver as per expectation in the first game.
